Happy November! If you've wanted to join into the wellness thing, but you just can't motivate yourself, maybe doing it with a friend can help!  I'll share more in a minute, but wanted to sum up the goodness you're about to get right from this blog here!

What I want to do this month in some capacity or another is help those who want to be helped.  Especially with gratitude.  People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. And gratitude doesn't need to be reserved only for momentous occasions: 

Sure, you might express gratitude after receiving a promotion at work, but you can also be thankful for something as simple as the sun shining.

I should title this more of Meal Ideas - so instead of a full step-by-step prep, which has been provided in other blog posts here ( www.tamarabratton.com/blog ) , take these ideas and just choose the ones that will fit your life!  It's meal's like this that will be continued to be shared in Healthy Body + Grateful Heart.

I know I am very excited about the chicken and white bean soup, but my kids aren't a fan, so that will be a lunch item for just me!  But for dinners, they will try the salmon and I'm excited for this easy baked dijon/honey/pecan combo.

So snatch this up, look over it as you sip on a dark chocolate sea salt Shakeology, or try one of the two smoothie bowls!

This new flavor worn't be exactly like this recipe, but it will offer you a little indulgence between now and the time you get your Limited Release Peppermint Mocha Shakeology

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup chilled coffee
  • ice (optional)

Peppermint mocha is one of my favorite treats, but today we have a limited addition peppermint mocha shake releasing. I’ve had trouble in the last couple years drinking my favorite coffee house coffee’s because of the amount of sugar, so I decided to look up the difference.

There is 1/4 of a cup of sugar in just one medium nonfat no whip! (And girlfriend here wants her whip!) Picture filling an entire 1/3 of the bottom of a red cup with sugar

Of course I never say cut things out completely, I still add them to my trips around Target, I mean you really can’t go to Target without also getting a coffee now, right? I just ask for half the sugar but that’s still a crap ton of sugar and zero nutritional value!
