The last time I ran a half marathon, I outpaced my training runs bc I saw the trophy and I wanted to win it....and in the process I fractured my foot.
Yes legit, I fractured my foot for a freaking trophy….wanna know what….I forgot to even pick up the trophy!!! W T FFFF (yes I got second place and paced a 7:11 mile #glorydays #kiddingbutnot)
Want to know what I haven’t done since then (and that was in 2013) ….I haven’t ran a single race. Not even a 5K.
So when I say signing up for one is a HUGE DEAL for me, it’s like legit the scariest (and kind most rewarding) thing I’ve done since birthing my babies!
My oldest fur baby is my new running buddy number 1, & I’m going to do this the right way and follow a full training program (with strength workouts + runs all planned out!) and nutrition guides as well...and run the actual pace I choose ;) ...That way I don’t look or feel like the girl...
Meditation has been in & out of my life for almost 12 years now.
It all started back in college when I was going through that season of "sowing my wild oats". Neal, my then boyfriend, now husband, and I were split up. I was living in Jackson Hole, WY and having quite the time of my life! The mountain, the drinking, the being on my own, the eating out all the time, the boy, the camping trips, river floats, only a short stint at an internship with responsibilities...you get the picture - the typical 21 year old getting to live life without mom and dad for the first time.
It was around this same time Eat Pray Love came about and I started casually reading it. This same summer, after my internship and love affair (with both the beauty of Jackson Hole and w/ another man) were coming to an end, I was headed back to reality of graduating college & figuring out what the crap to do with the rest of my life....so I did something...
I'm having some amazing women coming to to me, hopping on phone calls and discussing their needs for physical health, emotional health, an outlet from motherhood, money for their family, theyare ready to sign up and be a part of our amazing Team Beachbody Team, Be Well Tribe, and then fear hits.
Trust me girl, I had all those fears (and more), and I've found that none of them really mattered. I know WAY easier to say than to believe...but hear me out, what mattered was this...

2019 is coming to an end and for a lot of people, the holiday season means overeating and exercise abandonment. Most adults gain an average of 1 pound between mid-November and mid-January… and never lose that extra baggage.
