How to Reach Your First $10K in Coaching Business | Expert Tips

You've probably been here before thinking, man why didn't I invent that, or better yet, I thought about doing that but never took action on my idea!
Insert you sweating thinking about the nerves that would hit if you actually had a "Shark Tank" moment, bringing your idea in front of people who are going to judge you, your mindset, and your abilities.
Woah.
No wonder most of us never take our ideas for a business into action... I got squirms in my stomach thinking about how that would feel!
Thankfully, we don't have to be judged by others on national television in order to find out if our idea will make it or not.
YIKES! You get me here...right ;)
It's time to talk about actually going forth with the ideas you have for your life. For your relationships. For your business. It's time for you to make the first $10K in your coaching business!
The Bible is full of scriptures about your financial increase, wealth and prosperity. If you’re praying for a financial breakthrough, there’s no better place to turn than to God’s wisdom, spelled out in His Word. God’s Word is life—life to our bodies, life to our spirit, life to our relationships and life to our finances. As believers, as we read, memorize and think about God’s Word concerning money, our businesses, our relationships we’ll find every answer we need within its pages.
Now, I like to have some additional support outside of the Bible because let me be honest, when I first started reading it, I couldn't very well interpret. But other people have, and they share their experience of that.
Take the book, "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason
While it is not a biblical book, or even really anything quoting the bible, the layout of it, the way parables are told and the messages are written is similar to that which we see in much of the Bible.
This book was kind of like a stair step for me, similar to how I told you in my Prayer Fasting podcast, non food fasts were a stair step to me. This book was a stair step for me to then seek what the Bible had to say about finances, business, prosperity.
For those unfamiliar with The Riches Man in Babylon you learn lessons on 7 cures to a lean purse - aka 7 lessons to help you generate more wealth.
- Start thy purse to fattening. - Leviticus 27:30 (TLB) says, “A tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain or fruit, is the Lord's, and is holy.” So just as the Bible asks us to give 10% to God, God also wants you to start saving, in the book, Clason says save 10%. So if you make $100, give 10% save 10%
- Control they expenditures - control your expenses: Proverbs 21:20: The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
- Make thy gold multiply - make your money work for you. (read Matt. 25:14-30 about this!)
- Guard thy treasures agains loss - protect your wealth. So yes, have money safely in reserves etc but alsoLuke 12:15: Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” so even though you may measure by what's in your bank account, your biggest treasure to God is your heart. SO protect your heart first
- Make thy dwelling a profitable investment - basically own or rent a home you can afford -
- Ensure a future income - plan for retirement - but God says go beyond that: Proverbs 13:22 "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous."
- Increase they ability to earn - invest in yourself!
Remember how i started talking about the feelings you'd likely have if you were on shark tank? sweaty palms, squirmy stomach, well that's what could happen to you even if you start to THINK about telling your idea to someone.
Friend, this is why investing in your mindset is SO important.
It's very likely you have been 'downloaded' an idea from above and it's time to take action on it. I call these "holy spirit" downloads and I have learned to take action on them, no matter how weird it sounds in my brain.
You too can develop the mindset muscle to have you taking action on the ideas that have come to you and I'm going to teach you how I've done this and helped other women do this too.
- so not only Within 5 months of me deciding to pivot into Business Coaching (Biz Well), I created a master class, sold a coaching offer, and then unleveled it, helping less than 10 women and made $10,000 for our family. Let's dive into what that took - it took me getting curious about why coaching kept coming to my mind. It took me hiring a mentor who had done this before. He taught me that the uphill of what I was about to do was like a rocket - I would burn more than 80% of my fuel to get this off the ground. And that is true. Do you know what I did to get to that $10k? I talked to 28 women 1:1 for almost an hour each on the phone. I dove into their goals, their dreams, and helped them to see what they already knew inside of them they could do to move the needle forward with actions steps in just 90 days, 12 weeks.
- From her idea in her online boutique, I taught N. a method she could use to not only take a European vacation, but have her boutique selling while she was gone. So she had this online boutique with the clothes in her home and she would post them to a FB group. She hired me as she was thinking of transitioning that calling, but wanted to at least give it a go and honestly shed some inventory! Her idea originally was to take a month off of sales. She hired me and then though, hm I'm going to take a month off..umm no sister, I'm here to help you with your business, not relax from it. We ended up getting her FB page set up with sales, having a friend help monitor it, and she took her vacation, almost completely unplugged and it generated over $2K in 2 weeks (when she was planning on taking the month off & closing shop!)
- Another one of my clients runs retreats, beautiful life-changing retreats. And she knows she has the deep desire to continue to help women in her industry stop spinning the wheel working for pennies on the dollar with back to back clients and to instead take less clients, uplevel their skill and increase their pricing. Within 4 months of us working together, client T. took her Retreat she ran and created a coaching opportunity with it, giving clients more 1:1 support so they can get going on these ideas before they even retreat with her. She booked out 17 women in her retreat that is set to make her over $15K and generated an additional $6K+ with private coaching and she's not stopping there, we have another month of working together and I know this is just the beginning of what she's sifting.
Pretty amazing to me that this just gets to be SOME of the stories from Biz Well Coaching.
Again, it's not all about the money.
We talked about how God asks you to give to others too. He has given you an idea, a calling on your heart, and it is so you can show others around you what is possible too. You can show your children, help your clients have better experiences in their life, help you and your family.
But here's the thing,
- Fear holds you back from your fullest potential.
- Fear of what others will say (especially family and friends closest to us).
- Fear of investing time or energy into something that 'may not work out'.
- Fear over if we are the girl for the job...there's probably someone else out there better than me to do this, right?
It's time to break free from thinking any of those thoughts.

- what is a goal you have right now, something you really want to accomplish maybe even specifically in your business or business idea.
- now, think about your past think about something amazing you accomplished in the past? what was it - did you become a state champion with your high school, get the part in a play as a kid? Did you get chosen for the job after a round of interviews that had you sweating? Did you climb a mountain (that's my analogy I'll share deeper with you) What is something you've done that seems so incredible, that you're just proud of) Did you make a human!? that's amazing!
- what all did you do to get to the goal, what all was needed?
- you're going to compare what you did with that goal you hit and see that you are already coming up with ideas and tangible ways to make this new goal happen
