Praying for Guidance? Create a Holy Spirit-Inspired Business Plan
There's been a few times now when it comes to planning out what to share in a podcast, a post, a business growth strategy, I hit a wall.
I always just say I don't know if I want to do this right now...and if you knew me from 2015-2021, I was very much a 'do your crap' kind of network marketer. Meaning, I had a list, I worked from it, and I did check off every single box, every single day, no matter what.
But last year, in 2022, I said no more. I just cannot do that anymore becuase while it worked in the beginning, it's not working now.
So when I went to write this post and share it as a podcast, this is the exact words that ran through my head over and over and over again:
"God, I just want to talk about Jesus, well, really the Holy Spirit because He's the one here, with us, right now."
God clearly asked me to STOP WORKING and it feels like a LOT of feels. Scared, excited, upset, disappointed in self, encouraged, joyful - ALL of them
Last week was crazy....
Here's how God told me to lay my business down this time, as it's not the first time He's asked. He told me on Wednesday through a phone call with a friend who was filled with the spirit and began to pray over me, my family and our home, again on Thursday through my BIG feelings, and it was triple confirmed on Friday through THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE in three different places...
The Holy Spirit is sensitive.
He wants you to acknowledge Him.
He is more capable than we give him credit, he's more loving, and he's more understanding...and as I said he's sensitive. And when you have people around you close to Spirit, lean in, learn, listen, and know you can be close too.
1 Corinthians 2: 6-16 says this:
God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[a]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[b] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[c]
But we have the mind of Christ.
My family had prophetic words spoken over us twice now over a pivot that Neal will take in his business and now I am supposed to just lay mine down. Take clients as they come, but only if God brings them.
In that same prophetic prayer over our family, all that torment that I shared above (which I shared a very very mild version of the amount of anger/harsh words/ desire to end it all...) in that same prayer, the woman said to me: "Jesus is holding your head right here (and she touched) and he says, 'The words of the enemy will be so quite you'll no longer hear them and my words will be the only ones you hear' you have the mind of Christ."
....wow...if you've ever heard a prophetic word spoken over you, or you've been touched by the Holy Spirit, you know how powerful and altering it can be.
There's SO much more I want to share about that prophetic word, but I don't feel God has asked me to share with you just yet.
I shared this revelation with one of my mentors who I was wanting to hire to help me with a new streamline, a new strategy we were about to implement to help me reach more people, but God said stop. So I told my mentor some of what I'm telling you now and a little more, and this is part of his beautiful and gracious response:
"Sounds like God is stirring up some serious shifts for you. I honor you for being in tune with the Spirit and being willing to go where He goes. I am sure this revelation, or at least this stirring in you, may even feel confusing or disappointing, however, I believe this is often how God works the most."
So friend, I do not know exactly where you are at in your spiritual walk, but I feel like God has asked me to just hear prayer requests.
To go back to praying over people as I once did every single morning.
